REGIONAL AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT EMBARK ON EXTENSION HOME AND FARM VISIT
The activities of AEAs, Market Enumerators, and Veterinary TOs, as well as National Service Personnel, were carried out through farm and home visits to disseminate extension services and information tailored to the specific needs of stakeholders related to their businesses and livelihoods.
Extension delivery in this quarter was characterized by demonstrations, farmer training, and the organization of field days to reduce post-harvest losses and prepare for the coming minor season.

Most of the farmers were uncertain whether it would rain to allow them to cultivate their minor season crops, but they were assured that rains would begin in the month of September.
This motivated the farmers to plan and purchase the necessary inputs needed for the minor season production.
In all, 5,339 home and farm visits were made, compared with 6,935 in the same period in 2024. Although the number of visits was lower than in the same period last year, it is still significantly encouraging.
