SUNYANI TEACHING HOSPITAL RECEIVES DIALYSIS MACHINES THROUGH MahamaCares INITIATIVE
On 13th March 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, was present to witness the Sunyani Teaching Hospital receive two dialysis machines from the Ghana Medical Trust Fund Secretariat, widely known as MahamaCares.
The equipment was officially presented by Obobia Darko-Opoku, the Administrator of MahamaCares, to enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide specialist-level treatment for a range of chronic conditions, including cancers, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney failure, and stroke.
The minister expressed appreciation to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for what he described as a timely and impactful intervention that reflects the President’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in the region.
Hon. Akwaboa further indicated optimism about the anticipated arrival of additional medical equipment, noting that such support would significantly improve healthcare services and further enhance the status and capabilities of the Sunyani Teaching Hospital.
