BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS SACRED HEART SHS TO LAUNCH GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION
The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the management, staff, students, alumni and other stakeholders of Sacred Heart Senior High School (SAHESS) on October 17, 2026, to launch the school’s Golden Jubilee celebration, commemorating five decades of academic excellence, character formation and human capital development.
Addressing the gathering, the Regional Minister congratulated the school community on the milestone and paid tribute to the pioneers, administrators, teachers, parents, alumni and students whose contributions had shaped the institution’s growth and achievements over the years.
Speaking on the theme, “50 Years of Academic Excellence and Character Formation: Honouring the Past, Celebrating the Present and Defining the Future,” he reaffirmed the NDC government’s commitment, under President John Dramani Mahama, to improving educational infrastructure and creating better conditions for teaching and learning across the country.

Hon. Akwaboa assured the school that its needs would receive fair consideration under the government’s educational interventions. He further disclosed that the school’s science laboratory needs had been duly considered, raising expectations for improved science education and practical learning.
The Golden Jubilee celebration provides an opportunity for the SAHESS community to reflect on the institution’s achievements, honour its legacy and renew its commitment to academic excellence and character development.
The milestone also highlights the important role of educational institutions in nurturing responsible citizens and developing the human capital needed to advance Ghana’s national development agenda.
