BONO REGIONAL MINISTER ENGAGES MEDIA ON DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES

On Tuesday, 22nd April 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, held a strategic engagement with media representatives at the Sunyani Residency. The meeting highlighted the vital role of the media as key stakeholders in advancing the region’s development agenda.
During the interaction, the Minister underscored the importance of accurate and responsible journalism, describing it as the foundation of collective progress. He emphasized that precise and informed reporting is essential to guiding the region toward a brighter future.
The engagement also served as a platform for dialogue on collaborative strategies to address critical challenges facing the region.

Key issues discussed included improvements to road infrastructure, combating illegal mining, tackling youth drug abuse and prostitution, and enhancing sanitation. The media’s contributions and suggestions during the session were noted as insightful and valuable.
Hon. Akwaboa called on the media to uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity, particularly in verifying and fact-checking information prior to publication. He expressed confidence that through continued cooperation and a shared commitment to truth, accuracy, and development, the Bono Region can achieve transformative progress and realize its full potential.
