REGIONAL MINISTER PARTNERS WITH MP TO STRENGTHEN SECURITY IN BONO REGION

In a bid to strengthen regional security, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, together with the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Hon. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, made a significant donation to the Bono Regional Police Command on June 10, 2025.

The donation included a Nissan Navara pick-up vehicle and two motorbikes, specifically intended to enhance police operations in addressing a recent spike in armed robbery incidents along the Sunyani-Berekum highway.

This corridor has seen increased criminal activity, particularly in zones with limited telecommunication coverage.

The gesture highlights Hon. Yeboah Amankwah’s ongoing dedication to the safety and security of her constituents.

The Bono Regional Minister commended her for her proactive approach and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the effective use of these resources in protecting lives and property across the region.

The Regional Minister also assured residents of Sunyani West, Sunyani East, and the broader Bono Region that the government, under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, remains fully committed to creating a safer environment for all communities.
