On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, hosted a breakfast meeting with a cross-section of distinguished members of the clergy from the Bono Region. The meeting served as a platform for meaningful engagement on matters of regional development, peace, and collaboration.

Hon. Akwaboa acknowledged the significant role religious leaders play in both community and national development, expressing appreciation for their spiritual guidance and moral influence within society. He solicited their continued prayers and valuable insights on addressing the developmental needs of the region.

During the meeting, the Minister encouraged all stakeholders involved in chieftaincy matters to resolve disputes through appropriate and established channels. He emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage while promoting peace and stability.

The clergy were also informed about the establishment of a robust task force aimed at addressing the challenges of illegal mining and illegal lumbering within forest reserves—an effort geared toward protecting the environment and ensuring sustainable resource use.

The Minister expressed deep gratitude for the clergy’s assurances of support, particularly in offering prayers and guidance on developmental issues. He reaffirmed his belief that through partnership and collective responsibility, the region can achieve lasting peace, progress, and prosperity.
