BONO REGION COMPLETES CONFIRMATION OF MMDCEs WITH OVERWHELMING SUPPORT

On April 17, 2025, during a special assembly meeting held by the Sunyani West Municipal Assembly, the final round of confirmations for all 12 Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Bono Region was successfully completed.

According to the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the confirmation process concluded with remarkable results—eight of the nominees received unanimous 100% endorsement, while the remaining four secured an average support of about 80%.

This strong backing, Hon. Akwaboa noted, reflects widespread confidence in the President’s nominees and affirms their mandate to lead local development efforts.

The successful confirmation of all MMDCEs is seen as a crucial step toward advancing the region’s development agenda, the Minister remarked.

The Regional Minister emphasized his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the newly confirmed executives in driving meaningful progress and transformation throughout the Bono Region.

With a full leadership team now in place, the region is poised to pursue its development goals with renewed energy and commitment, as part of a broader effort to “reset” and accelerate growth across all districts.
