REGIONAL MINISTER ATTENDS CONFIRMATION CEREMONY OF MCE NOMINEE FOR DORMAA MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

On April 7, 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, attended a special meeting of the Dormaa Central Municipal Assembly. The session began with the swearing-in of 13 government appointees, administered by Justice Gabriel Mate-Teye, the Supervising High Court Judge of Sunyani.

During the meeting, Assembly Members elected Yeboah Adama as the new Presiding Member, with an overwhelming 78.26% of votes cast in his favor.

This was followed by the confirmation of the President’s nominee, Hon. Dominic Adomah Ameyaw, as Municipal Chief Executive. Hon. Ameyaw secured 70.45% of the votes from members present and voting.

The Regional Minister extended his congratulations to both officials and emphasized his commitment to collaborating closely with them to advance the development agenda of the Dormaa Central Municipality. The occasion highlighted a renewed focus on leadership, governance, and progress in the region.

The Sanaahene (sub-chief) of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Baffour Kwadwo Damoah Afari, called for a peaceful conduct of the elections, urging them to endorse the President’s nominee for the purpose of development.

Mr. Nar-ire P. David, the Coordinating Director for Dormaa Central Municipal, commended the assembly members for the peaceful conduct of the elections.
