BEREKUM WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY UNANIMOUSLY ENDORSES NEW DCE AT SPECIAL MEETING

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, attended a special assembly meeting of the Berekum West District Assembly on Friday, April 4, 2025.

During the meeting, Assembly Members unanimously confirmed the President’s nominee, Hon. Collins Asoma, as the new District Chief Executive, with an impressive 100% of the total valid votes cast.

In his remarks, Hon. Asoma pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders to drive progress in the Berekum West District.

Hon. Akwaboa congratulated Hon. Asoma on the confirmation and expressed appreciation to the Assembly Members for placing their trust in the nominee’s leadership. The unanimous vote was described as a strong endorsement of Hon. Asoma’s capabilities and a reflection of confidence in the President’s choice.

The Regional Minister assured his continued commitment to supporting the District’s development agenda.

Hon. Akwaboa also used the platform to issue a stern warning to individuals engaged in illegal mining activities, particularly within the Benkasa enclave, urging them to cease such operations or face legal consequences.

He further expressed confidence in the District’s future under the leadership of Hon. Asoma, emphasizing the need for collective effort to ensure sustained growth and prosperity in the area.
