REGIONAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE PRESENTS AWARDS RECEIVED AT GHS EXCELLENCE AWARDS TO REGIONAL MINISTER
Ms. Vivian Opoku-Kyeremeh, a health worker from Dumasua CHPS in the Bono Region, was the overall winner of the 2024 Ghana Health Service (GHS) Excellence Awards. The awards ceremony took place in Accra on November 20, 2024.
The GHS Excellence Awards recognize and celebrate the contributions of healthcare workers and institutions to Ghana’s health sector. The awards aim to motivate health workers and facilities to perform better and inspire others to do the same.
Ms. Opoku-Kyeremeh’s award included: A Certificate of Honour, A Citation Plaque, A 50″ LED Smart TV, A brand new saloon vehicle (VW Virtus), and An all-expenses-paid trip for two to Dubai.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presented the award to Ms. Opoku-Kyeremeh, along with other dignitaries.
Back home in the Bono Region, the Regional Health Directorate led by their Regional Director, Dr. Kofi Amo-Kodieh presented the Awards to the Honourable Regional Minister at the forecourt of the Regional Coordinating Council.
The Regional Minister who was full of joy for the success of the health directorate, thanked the award winners for their invaluable dedication and commitment in their line of duty.
She urged all the award winners to continue the good work they are doing for the region and Ghana as a whole.
Other award winners from the region are: Ms. Christian Akua Konadu (Best District Director), Dr. Kofi Amo-Kodieh (2nd Runner-Up, Best Region), Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako (2nd Runner-Up, Leadership Awards Primary Level Hospital) and Fatimah Braimah (2nd Runner-Up, Leadership Awards Health Center Category).
