BONO REGIONAL MINISTER LEADS SECURITY TOUR OF ROBBERY-PRONE SUNYANI-ATRONIE AND BEREKUM ROADS

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, led a high-level delegation of senior regional security officials to inspect the Sunyani-Atronie and Sunyani-Berekum roads. The team included the Regional Police Commander and the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Battalion of Infantry (3BN).

This visit followed a recent spike in armed robbery incidents along these routes, prompting swift intervention from the regional security leadership.

According to the Minister, ensuring the safety and security of residents in the Bono Region remains a top priority. He emphasized that collective efforts are being intensified to enhance security on these critical road networks.

The delegation noted that robust measures have already been implemented to address the threats, and the security apparatus remains committed to cracking down on criminal activities.

Authorities further assured the public, particularly commuters and transport operators, of their unwavering commitment to maintaining safety and restoring public confidence in these transport corridors.
