BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN PRAYERS FOR FALLEN PUBLIC OFFICIALS IN HELICOPTER CRASH

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Muslim community at the Sunyani Central Mosque on 8th August 2025 to offer prayers for the peaceful repose of the late Minister for Defense, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, and six other public officials who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in the line of duty on 6th August 2025.

He was accompanied by the Bono Regional Chairman of the NDC, H.E. Amb. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, his Vice, Mr. Ali Ibrahim Adjei, and some Municipal and District Chief Executives from the region.

The gathering brought together community members and leaders to honor the memories of these dedicated public servants and to extend condolences to their families and loved ones.

Prayers were offered for Allah to grant the departed souls Jannah (paradise) and to comfort the bereaved families during this difficult period.

The event also served as a reminder of the legacies of service and dedication to Ghana left behind by the deceased officials.
