BONO REGIONAL MINISTER HIGHLIGHTS REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS AT BANK OF GHANA STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT
The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, at a stakeholders’ engagement organised by the Bank of Ghana at the Eusbett Hotel in Sunyani on 6th August 2026.
The engagement formed part of the Bank of Ghana’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders across the country while promoting greater transparency, accountability and responsiveness to the needs of businesses, investors and the general public.
It also provided a platform for stakeholders to engage in discussions on Ghana’s economic outlook and examine the role of the financial sector in supporting sustainable national development.
On the sidelines of the engagement, the Bono Regional Minister raised a number of critical development priorities affecting the region with the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. He called for the Bank’s support and collaboration in strategic areas where targeted interventions could contribute to accelerating inclusive economic growth, strengthening local enterprises and creating sustainable opportunities for residents of the Bono Region.
The engagement underscored the importance of closer collaboration between financial sector institutions and regional authorities in addressing development challenges and promoting economic opportunities at the local level.
