BONO REGIONAL MINISTER ENGAGES NPA TO STRENGTHEN PETROLEUM SECTOR OVERSIGHT
As part of his ongoing institutional outreach programme, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, paid a working visit to the Bono Regional Office of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) on 24th July 2025.
The office oversees petroleum downstream regulatory operations across the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions.
During the visit, the Minister engaged with the regional management team and received a detailed briefing on the NPA’s crucial role in ensuring efficiency, fairness, and value for money in the petroleum industry.

He acknowledged the Authority’s impact on the region’s economic stability and development.
The Minister commended the professionalism and dedication of the NPA staff, who work diligently to safeguard the interests of Ghanaian consumers.
He also listened to the operational challenges facing the regional office and assured the team of his commitment to supporting efforts aimed at resolving them.
Hon. Akwaboa reaffirmed his intention to collaborate closely with the NPA to promote a resilient and efficient petroleum sector across the three regions. He expressed optimism that such partnerships would open new opportunities and contribute to a prosperous future for the people of Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo.
