BONO RCC HOLDS FIRST QUARTER 2026 RPCU MEETING TO REVIEW DEPARTMENTAL PROGRESS

The Regional Planning Coordinating Unit (RPCU) of the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) held its First Quarter 2026 meeting on 14th May 2026 at the Bono RCC Conference Room to assess departmental performance and discuss matters relating to regional development coordination.

The meeting brought together representatives from several departments and agencies, including Community Development, Gender, Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority (LUSPA), Veterinary Services, Agriculture Department, Parks and Gardens, Social Welfare, Housing Department, Regional Education Directorate, Children Department, National Youth Authority, and other stakeholders.

The meeting commenced with the consideration and adoption of the minutes from the previous RPCU meeting. This was followed by presentations on the First Quarter 2026 departmental reports by the Community Development, Social Welfare, Veterinary Services, and Gender Departments. The presentations highlighted activities undertaken during the quarter, achievements made, and challenges affecting service delivery within their respective sectors.

In his opening remarks, the Regional Coordinating Director and Chairman of the RPCU, Mr. Nar-ire Puobenyere David, welcomed members and expressed appreciation for their continued commitment to the work of the unit.

He urged departments that were yet to submit their Annual Progress Reports to the RCC to do so as soon as possible, noting that the deadline for onward submission to the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) had already passed.

Discussions during the meeting also focused on other matters concerning coordination, planning, and implementation of regional development activities.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Nar-ire Puobenyere David commended members for their active participation and dedication toward advancing development within the Bono Region. He encouraged all departments to remain committed to their responsibilities despite operational challenges and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among institutions to achieve regional development objectives.
