BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS GEA AND UNIDO OFFICIALS TO COMMISSION PROCESSING FACILITY FOR KOFI VINYO & COMPANY
The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Ms. Margaret Ansei, a representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and traditional leaders of Kwatire for the official handover of modern processing equipment, machinery, and a laboratory to Kofi Vinyo & Company Limited.
The ceremony, held on 2nd September 2026 at Kwatire in the Sunyani West Municipality, marked an important step towards strengthening the capacity of local enterprises and promoting value addition and industrial development within the region.
The intervention forms part of the broader agenda of the President John Dramani Mahama administration to promote Ghanaian innovation, strengthen entrepreneurship, empower young people, and create sustainable employment opportunities.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa reaffirmed the commitment of the Bono Regional Coordinating Council to creating an enabling environment for local businesses to grow, expand their operations, and contribute meaningfully to the region’s economic development.
He urged Kofi Vinyo & Company Limited to ensure the effective maintenance and utilisation of the equipment while maintaining high operational standards. He further encouraged the company to continuously improve productivity and use the expanded production capacity to create additional employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.
The intervention is expected to enhance the company’s production capabilities while contributing to local enterprise development, job creation, and broader economic growth in the Bono Region.
