BONO REGION MARKS NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING SERVICE WITH CALL FOR VALUE-BASED LEADERSHIP

On 1st July 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined religious leaders, traditional authorities, and residents of the Bono Region at Christ the King Cathedral in Sunyani for the Bono Regional Prayer and Thanksgiving Service.

Held under the theme, “Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want,” the service brought together stakeholders from various sectors to offer prayers for the nation and reflect on the shared values needed to drive Ghana’s development.

Addressing the gathering, the Regional Minister emphasized that Ghana’s progress depends not only on its natural and human resources but also on the values upheld by its citizens.

He encouraged Ghanaians to recommit themselves to integrity, discipline, hard work, patriotism, and accountability, stressing that these principles are essential to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

The Minister also expressed appreciation to all participants for their presence and contributions to the solemn and inspiring event.

He concluded with prayers for God’s continued blessings upon the Bono Region and Ghana, asking for enduring peace, unity, and prosperity.
