BONO REGIONAL MINISTER TOURS BECE CENTRES, ENCOURAGES CALM AND CONFIDENCE AMONG CANDIDATES

As the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commenced across the Bono Region, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, visited several examination centres within the Sunyani Municipality on 4th May 2026 to monitor the ongoing process.

During the visits, he advised candidates to remain calm and approach the examinations with the same mindset as their regular assessments.

He encouraged them to have confidence in their preparation, noting that it would contribute significantly to their success. He also emphasized the importance of avoiding panic, adhering strictly to examination regulations, and carefully understanding questions before attempting answers.

The Minister further highlighted the scale of the examination in the region, indicating that approximately 25,000 candidates are participating across 88 centres. He noted a fairly balanced gender distribution, comprising 12,250 males and 12,750 females, drawn from a total of 833 schools.
