BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS GHANAIAN DELEGATION TO EXPLORE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

On 20th May 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined Madam Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Presidential Advisor and Special Aide to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and a delegation of Ghanaian ministers on a significant visit to The Ohio State University.
The visit marked a pivotal step in strengthening Ghana’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with sister cities and international institutions. It emphasized the government’s dedication to leveraging global expertise and resources to drive national and regional development.
The collaboration with the City of Columbus and The Ohio State University is seen as a promising opportunity for Ghana, with particular potential in the fields of healthcare, health education, agriculture, food production, and business leadership development.

The Bono Region, in particular, stands to benefit significantly, with prospects of becoming a center for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
Hon. Akwaboa acknowledged the visionary leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the instrumental role played by Madam Joyce Bawa Mogtari in nurturing the collaboration.
He expressed confidence that the partnership would deliver tangible benefits to the people of the Bono Region and Ghana as a whole, and indicated a strong commitment to working closely with international partners to realize these opportunities.
