“Bono RCC, together with Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region, I stand in the shoes of the twelve districts and we pledge a hundred thousand Ghana Cedis to support the project. …We’ll fulfill our pledge and we believe it”, the Regional Minister announced.
In a speech delivered, the Minister re-echoed the Pesident’s vision to build a National Cathedral for Christians in the country.
“…This national monument will provide a historic opportunity to put God at the centre of our Nation’s affairs and serve as a symbol of our eternal and continuing gratitude to him, for the favours that he continues to shower and bestow on our Nation”, Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene said.
The Minister said, “the National Cathedral will be a unifying monument around which to elevate shared conversations on faith and national transformation among others”.
“I wish to commend the Christian fraternity for embracing this vision and shaping it to reflect its current National status. Where Churches, Cooperate Bodies, Islamic community and individuals have willingly and freely contributed towards this course”
The Bono Region shares in the vision of the Board of Trustees’ determination to embark on projects for national development thus it’s an honour for us as a Region not to just contribute towards the construction of the National Cathedral but to be counted as a Region among those who gave cheerfully towards this worthy course.
“Before I bring the curtain down, I would like to bring to the attention of the clergy that, issues on morality in our country, the least said about them, the better”, Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene concluded her speech.
