BONO CNC COLLABORATES WITH HEALTH INSTITUTIONS FOR PROMOTION OF HEALTH THROUGH CULTURE

The Centre for National Culture (CNC), Bono Region, in collaboration with the Sunyani Youth Development Association organized an awareness campaign for HIV/AIDS and ways for prevention in the community. A stage performance held at Odomase in during the year was enacted by the Centre to draw in the minds of the community the awareness and prevention methods.

CNC supported the Health Directorate of the Dormaa West District during the month of September in educating the public on effective practices in reducing malaria under the Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) initiative.

The Centre again supported the organization of Menstrual Hygiene Day held at the Dormaa East District. The drama troupe gave a splendid performance advocating for the need for hygiene in girls health.
