BONO REGIONAL HEALTH COMMITTEE INAUGURATED IN SUNYANI

Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister, presided over the inaugural meeting of the Bono Regional Health Committee on 3rd December 2025 at the Conference Room of the Regional Coordinating Council.

The foundational meeting was convened in accordance with the Ghana Health Service and Teaching Hospitals Act, 1996 (Act 525), as amended by Act 1009 in 2019, which mandates the establishment of Regional Health Committees in all regions of the country.

Pursuant to this legal framework, the nine-member Bono Regional Health Committee was duly constituted and inaugurated, marking the formal commencement of its statutory responsibilities.

The meeting provided an essential platform for members to align on their mandate, define strategic priorities, and initiate collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the health agenda of the Bono Region.
