SUNYANI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS UNITE BEHIND NEW MCE WITH 100% ENDORSEMENT

In a commendable show of unity and confidence, the Sunyani Municipal Assembly confirmed the President’s nominee, Hon. Vincent Antwi Agyei, as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) with a unanimous 100% of valid votes cast during a special assembly meeting held on Thursday, 10th April 2025 . This overwhelming endorsement reflects the assembly members’ strong belief in his leadership capabilities.

At the same meeting, Mr. Abdul Razak Abdulai was elected as the new presiding member, securing 86.2% of the total votes cast.

Following his confirmation, Hon. Vincent Antwi Agyei expressed his deep gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the leadership of the party for the opportunity to serve.

He pledged to work diligently and with integrity to justify the trust placed in him.

The Honourable Bono Regional Minister, Mr. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, who was present at the meeting, noted that Hon. Antwi Agyei has exceptional character, describing him as humble, kind, hardworking, and approachable.

Mr. Akwaboa also encouraged assembly members and residents alike to rally behind the new MCE in the collective effort to advance Sunyani, the capital of the Bono Region, and improve the quality of life for all its citizens.

Justice Gabriel Martey-Teye, a high court Judge in Sunyani took the MCE through the oaths of office, allegiance, and secrecy.
