SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP ON THE NEW LGS CLIENT SERVICE OPERATIONAL MANUAL HELD FOR STAFF OF BONO RCC
The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service with support from the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Project (GSCSP) has developed a Client Service Operational Manual (CSOM) for the operationalization of the Client Service Unit (CSU) across the Service.
The Sensitization Workshop was aimed at introducing and explaining new Local Government Service Client Service Operational Manual to the staff of the Office of the Regional Coordinating Council and its Decentralized Departments for efficient and effective implementation of the Manual and to help ensure total compliance to the guidelines in the Manual.
The training took place at the Conference Room of Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Sunyani, on Thursday, 21st December, 2023 and facilitated by the Bono Regional Trainers of the CSOM i.e. Ms. Theresa Agyei-Mensah, Assistant Director I and Mrs. Akua Gyekyewaa Antwi, Senior Human Resource Manager, both staff of Bono RCC.
The Chief Director, Mr. Andrews Okumah Nawil opened the workshop with some remarks. He shared the purpose and relevance of the Workshop and reiterated its importance to the staff. He emphasized the fact that, the rollout of the CSOM is to help attain the vision of the Service and improve service delivery to our clients. He urged the Staff to pay attention to what was going to be taught to be able to understand and cooperate to make the implementation successful.
The Hon Regional Minister, Madam Justina Owusu Banahene also spoke briefly, and, in her remarks, she mentioned how important it was to receive clients well and to direct them well to reduce the undue pressure she faces in her office.
The workshop was very insightful for the staff as they were well educated on the CSOM to understand, comply and support the implementation process.
