NHIA CEO BEGINS REGIONAL TOUR WITH COURTESY VISIT TO BONO REGIONAL MINISTER

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, received Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and his delegation during a courtesy call at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) in Sunyani.

The visit marked the beginning of Dr. Bampoe’s regional working tour, demonstrating his commitment to building strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery.

During the meeting, the Minister and his team expressed deep appreciation for the significant role the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) continues to play in the Bono Region. Particular emphasis was placed on the scheme’s contribution to improving access to quality healthcare and providing financial protection for residents against medical expenses.

The occasion also provided an opportunity for Hon. Akwaboa to formally congratulate Mr. Isaac Amponsah Badu on his recent appointment as the Regional Manager of NHIA.

The Minister conveyed his confidence in Mr. Badu’s leadership abilities, noting a longstanding professional acquaintance and expressing optimism about the positive impact he would bring to the role.

Hon. Akwaboa reaffirmed his strong support for NHIA’s mission and pledged continued collaboration with the authority to further enhance healthcare services across the region, with the ultimate goal of improving the well-being of the people of Bono.
