INTEGRATED SOCIAL SERVICE DELIVERY PROGRAM (ISS)
The Integrated Social Services (ISS) seeks to strengthen inter – sectoral collaboration among social welfare, social protection, health actors and other decentralized and national level to improve the delivery of social services across the country.
The ISS aims to help address multi – dimensional poverty and vulnerability with a strong focus on promoting linkages between health, child protection, sexual and gender-based violence and social protection services.
In view of this a three day residential workshop on child protection community facilitation toolkit was organized by office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS) in collaboration with UNICEF during the fourth quarter of 2022 (27th November to 1st December, 2022 of which the Regional Directorate of the Department participated.
MASS EDUCATION AND SENSITIZATION AT FM STATIONS
One of the core mandates of the department is to educate and sensitize the public on government programs and policies. The department continues to educate the public on issues relating to children i.e., child abuse, child marriage, child neglect among others.
This was done at two (2) FM stations in Sunyani (Ark FM and Space FM).
