BONO REGIONAL MINISTER OUTLINES DEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR BEREKUM WEST DISTRICT

As part of his familiarization tour of districts in the Bono Region, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, announced that the Jinijini Health Centre in the Berekum West District will be upgraded to polyclinic status. The move is aimed at improving healthcare delivery and expanding access for residents.
Speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people at Jinijini on 17th September 2025, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to bringing quality healthcare closer to rural communities. He also assured the gathering of President John Dramani Mahama’s dedication to fulfilling his Election 2024 campaign promises.
The Minister stressed that progressive and sustainable development is a collective responsibility, urging stakeholders in the district to cooperate and support ongoing development initiatives.

He further expressed concern over the halted construction of the Jinijini-Adom Tewbaabi road project, noting that the government would ensure the resumption and completion of the works.
He added that Berekum West District would also benefit from physical infrastructure projects under the government’s “Reset Agenda,” which remains on course.
The Member of Parliament for Berekum West Constituency, Hon. Dickson Kyere Duah, commended the government’s efforts in advancing national development and assured constituents that the district would receive its fair share of resources.
