BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS PRAYERS FOR VICTIMS OF AUGUST 6 HELICOPTER CRASH

A solemn and poignant atmosphere filled the Christ The King Society of the Methodist Church of Ghana in Sunyani on 10th August 2025, as the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined members of the congregation to offer prayers for the eternal repose of eight distinguished public officials who lost their lives in a helicopter crash on 6th August 2025.

Among the deceased were the Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed. The tragic incident occurred while the officials were serving in the line of duty.

The Regional Minister was accompanied by H.E Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, Bono Regional Chairman of the NDC; Hon. Eric Adjei, CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program; Hon. Vincent Antwi Adjei, Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani Municipality; Mr. Mustapha Umar Copson, Regional Director for YEA; and several regional executives of the Party.

The gathering expressed unity and solidarity, offering heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the departed.

Attendees reflected on the legacies of service and dedication left behind by the late officials and prayed for God to grant their families comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time.
