BONO REGIONAL MINISTER HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING WITH MMDCEs AND MMDCDs TO ADVANCE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, on 13th July 2026 convened a strategic meeting with Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and their respective Municipal and District Coordinating Directors (MMDCDs) to review the performance of Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the region.

During the meeting, the assemblies presented comprehensive reports on the state of affairs within their jurisdictions, highlighting key achievements, prevailing challenges, and strategies aimed at enhancing development and service delivery. The presentations provided an overview of ongoing initiatives and identified priority areas requiring continued attention and support.

Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa commended the assemblies for their commitment and renewed sense of purpose in advancing the development agenda of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama within the Bono Region.

He noted that the reports reflected a shared determination to promote inclusive growth, strengthen local governance, and improve the delivery of essential public services.

The meeting also served as a platform for the Regional Minister to brief participants on key government policy directions, governance priorities, and administrative matters intended to enhance the effectiveness, accountability, and efficiency of local government administration.

Participants reaffirmed their collective commitment to strengthening collaboration among the Regional Coordinating Council and the various assemblies to ensure the successful implementation of government policies and programmes, with the ultimate goal of delivering sustainable development and improving the quality of life for the people of the Bono Region.
