BONO REGIONAL MINISTER ENGAGES SSNIT ON STRENGTHENING SOCIAL SECURITY SERVICES

As part of his ongoing institutional visits, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, visited the Bono Regional Office of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) on 18th July 2025.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Minister to engage with the SSNIT team and gain deeper insight into the institution’s vital role in safeguarding the financial wellbeing of Ghanaian workers.

Hon. Akwaboa recognized SSNIT as a cornerstone of the nation’s social security system, offering critical support to both formal and informal sector workers, including the self-employed.

The Minister commended the dedication and professionalism of the SSNIT staff in administering the scheme and delivering essential services to contributors.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment, under the leadership of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, to supporting SSNIT in its mission.

The Minister also encouraged the people of Bono Region to take full advantage of the scheme, highlighting the importance of contributing to social security as a means to secure personal financial stability and support national development.

The visit reinforced the regional leadership’s resolve to work collaboratively with institutions like SSNIT to ensure a more secure and prosperous future for all Ghanaians.
