BONO REGIONAL MINISTER ENGAGES FDA ON STRENGTHENING PUBLIC HEALTH OVERSIGHT
As part of his ongoing institutional visits, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, paid a working visit to the Regional Office of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on 18th July 2025.
The office serves the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions. During the visit, the Minister met with management and staff to better understand the Authority’s operations and the critical role it plays in safeguarding public health.
The FDA was recognized by Hon. Akwaboa for its essential work in enforcing safety standards and ensuring the quality of food, drugs, and other regulated products available to the public.

The Minister commended the staff for their dedication and commitment to protecting the health and well-being of citizens across the three regions.
He listened to the concerns and challenges faced by the FDA team and assured them of the government’s continued support under the leadership of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.
He also expressed his personal commitment to working closely with the Authority to help strengthen its regulatory capacity and address institutional needs.
The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between regional leadership and regulatory bodies in promoting health, safety, and public confidence.
