BONO REGIONAL MINISTER AFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR HEALTH SECTOR AT CONHETI ANNUAL REVIEW AND TRAINING SESSION

On 14th May 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, participated in the 2025 Annual Performance Review Meeting and Training Session of The Conference of Health Training Institutions (CONHETI), Brong Ahafo Chapter.
The event was held at Sheila’s Executive Hotel at Fiapre, Sunyani.
Addressing participants, the Minister commended the organizers for convening stakeholders under the theme “Upskilling and Reskilling Health Training Institutions for Effective Healthcare Delivery.”
He described the theme as both timely and essential to the region’s healthcare advancement, stressing the importance of capacity building in driving sustainable improvements in health service delivery.

The Minister highlighted the critical role of human resource development in achieving quality healthcare outcomes. He emphasized that platforms such as training sessions and review conferences are vital for strengthening institutional effectiveness and preparing the sector to meet evolving healthcare demands.
The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the health sector through sound policies and strategic investments. He assured attendees of his personal dedication to advocating for the necessary resources to enhance health training institutions and delivery systems in the Bono Region.
In conclusion, he expressed optimism that with sustained collaboration, the health sector can be transformed into a responsive, resilient, and future-ready system capable of addressing the dynamic needs of the Ghanaian population.
