EXTENSION HOME AND FARM VISITS IN 2024 REPORTED BY REGIONAL AGRIC DEPARTMENT

The farm and home visits were undertaken to disseminate extension services and information to stakeholders that were specific to their businesses and livelihoods.
The AEAs, Market Enumerators, Veterinary TOs, as well as District Agriculture Officers (DAOs), and National Service Personnel were involved in undertaking 25,775 visits compared with 24,748 visits in 2023.
The main activities that led to the increase in the number of beneficiaries reached were the registration of stakeholders onto the GhAAP as part of the PFJ 2.0 initiative, community engagement and data collection on pesticide reduction by CABI, the youth in agribusiness project by WFP, the HAPPY project, the East-West Seed and Knowledge Transfer and the FSRP input distribution exercise.



These visits ensured the dissemination of improved technologies and information to beneficiaries, sensitization on climate change adaptation measures, monitoring and data collection on the dry spell situation and post-harvest activities.
