BONO RCC ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS ON SUNYANI BUNGALOW REDEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has engaged heads of institutions, departments and agencies, as well as Nananom of the Sunyani Traditional Council, on the ongoing bungalow redevelopment programme in Sunyani.

The engagement, held on 5th October 2026, formed part of efforts to ensure broad stakeholder consultation and coordination in the implementation of the redevelopment initiative.

As part of the process, the RCC has constituted a Land Development Team comprising representatives of Nananom, the Lands Commission, LUSPA and other relevant institutions to provide technical and institutional support for the redevelopment of Sunyani.

The team has already undertaken a number of preliminary activities, which require further stakeholder consultation and consensus before they are publicly communicated or implemented.

The meeting therefore provided an opportunity to brief heads of departments and other key stakeholders on the redevelopment process, clarify their respective roles and responsibilities, and strengthen coordination among the institutions involved.

The engagement is expected to contribute to a more coordinated and orderly implementation of the bungalow redevelopment programme, while ensuring that key stakeholders are adequately informed and involved in the process.
