BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS CEO OF TCDA TO OPEN TCDA BONO REGIONAL OFFICE

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, for the official opening of the TCDA Bono Regional Office on 25th September 2026.

The establishment of the regional office is expected to bring TCDA services closer to farmers and other stakeholders within the tree-crop value chain, while supporting efforts to improve productivity, quality assurance, value addition, market access and sustainable agricultural practices.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Bono Regional Minister pledged the support of the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) towards the activities of the new office and called for stronger collaboration among relevant stakeholders to promote the development of the tree-crop sector and improve livelihoods.

He also encouraged farmers to take advantage of the opportunities and services provided by the regional office and adopt climate-smart farming practices to strengthen the sustainability and productivity of their operations.

The Bono RCC congratulated the TCDA and its Chief Executive Officer on the establishment of the office, expressing confidence that it would serve as an important hub for farmer support, stakeholder coordination, value addition and the sustainable development of the tree-crop industry in the Bono Region.
