BONO REGIONAL MINISTER JOINS HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL TO LAUNCH 80TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the management, staff, and stakeholders of Holy Family Hospital in Berekum for the official launch of the hospital’s 80th anniversary celebrations on 27th July 2026.
Addressing the gathering, the Regional Minister congratulated the hospital on reaching the significant milestone, describing its eight decades of service as a testament to God’s grace, visionary leadership, and the unwavering dedication of its management and staff.
He commended the institution for its longstanding contribution to healthcare delivery in the Bono Region, particularly in the areas of maternal and child health, health workforce training, and emergency medical services.

Hon. Akwaboa also reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with faith-based health institutions to improve healthcare delivery across the country.
He highlighted the implementation of the Free Primary Healthcare initiative under the administration of President John Dramani Mahama, as well as the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (Mahama CARE), both of which are intended to expand access to essential and specialized healthcare services for Ghanaians.
The Regional Minister encouraged the hospital to continue building on its legacy by embracing innovation, maintaining high standards of excellence, and providing compassionate care to patients as it looks toward the future.
