BONO REGIONAL MINISTER HIGHLIGHTS INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT GIPC INVESTMENT ROADSHOW

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, has reaffirmed the Bono Region’s commitment to Ghana’s industrialization agenda, highlighting the region’s vast investment potential during the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Regional Investment Roadshow held in Sunyani on 28th July 2026.

Delivering the opening address at the event, the Regional Minister described the Bono Region as an attractive destination for investors, citing its strategic location, abundant natural resources, fertile agricultural lands, peaceful environment, and skilled workforce as key competitive advantages.

He noted that the region offers significant investment opportunities across sectors including agriculture, agro-processing, livestock production, forestry, and manufacturing.

He stressed the need to prioritize value addition to local resources, promote industrialization, create sustainable employment opportunities, and increase exports to drive long-term economic growth.

Hon. Akwaboa also underscored the importance of strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors to unlock the region’s economic potential. He said such collaboration would be instrumental in attracting investment, accelerating industrial development, and advancing sustainable economic transformation in line with Ghana’s broader development objectives.

The Regional Investment Roadshow brought together stakeholders from government, the private sector, and the investment community to explore opportunities for expanding investment and promoting regional economic development.
