On 24th September 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, received the Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, along with his deputy, Lawyer Foster Akwasi Asante, the Board Chairman, and other board members at his office.
The visit coincided with the launch of a newly operational DVLA office in the Dormaa Municipality, marking a significant milestone for driver and vehicle licensing in the region.
The establishment of the new office is expected to have a positive impact on the community, as it forms part of President John Dramani Mahama’s vision to reset the country by decentralizing state institutions, easing administrative pressures, and creating job opportunities.
Discussions also centered on ensuring the sustainability of the new office to serve Dormaa and its surrounding communities effectively.
The launch was commended as a crucial development, with expectations that it would deliver long-term benefits to residents while strengthening the DVLA’s presence in the Bono Region.
