REGIONAL MINISTERS ATTEND SENSITIZATION AND ORIENTATION WORKSHOP ON DPAT IX IN SUNYANI

On 3rd September 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, together with the Western North Regional Minister, Hon. Wilbert Petty Brentum, welcomed senior officials from the Local Government Service as well as selected officers from Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs) and Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across the Bono, Ashanti, Ahafo, and Western North Regions to Sunyani.

The occasion marked the commencement of a crucial Sensitization and Orientation Workshop on the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT IX).

The workshop served as a platform to reaffirm the government’s commitment to improving performance and accountability in local governance structures.

Hon. Akwaboa in his address emphasized that the knowledge and insights gained through this engagement would better equip local officers to spearhead meaningful and sustainable development across their respective jurisdictions.

DPAT IX was described by Hon. Akwaboa as a key initiative aligned with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s reset agenda, aimed at maximizing district-level impact.

Organizers expressed optimism that the workshop would not only enhance technical capacity but also foster collaboration and innovation among participants, ultimately contributing to the broader socio-economic progress of the regions involved.
