STRENGTHENING AVIATION SERVICES IN BONO – GHANA AIRPORTS COMPANY PAYS COURTESY CALL ON REGIONAL MINISTER

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, welcomed a delegation from the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Sunyani, led by the Deputy Regional Manager, Mr. Tettey Kumah.
The visit offered a platform for a constructive dialogue on the development and future of aviation services in the region.
Discussions during the meeting focused on improving passenger comfort, enhancing flight accessibility, and exploring the potential for expanding the airport grounds. Mr. Kumah took the opportunity to address recent rumors circulating about the Sunyani Airport’s operations, reassuring the Minister that there are no intentions to relocate the facility.

The Ghana Airports Company reaffirmed its broader vision of ensuring that every region in Ghana benefits from a functional and accessible airport. Within this strategic framework, the Sunyani Airport holds significant importance in enhancing connectivity and boosting regional economic growth.
The Regional Minister expressed his support for GACL’s initiatives and commitment to fostering excellent air transport services for the people of Sunyani and the Bono Region. He underscored the collaborative efforts required to improve the aviation experience and emphasized the role of air transport in promoting development across the region.
