HEADMASTER OF SUSEC PAYS COURTESY CALL ON BONO REGIONAL MINISTER

On Friday, May 9, 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, received a courtesy call from Mr. Gordon Osei Marfo, Headmaster of Sunyani Secondary School (SUSEC), and his delegation.

The visit served as an opportunity for meaningful engagement between the school leadership and the regional administration.

During the meeting, the SUSEC delegation warmly congratulated the Regional Minister on his recent appointment. They also outlined several pressing challenges confronting the school, including infrastructural deficiencies that continue to impact student accommodation, as well as a shortage of furniture, despite the availability of sufficient classroom blocks.

A key concern raised was the school’s ongoing reliance on the double track system, which they hope to eliminate by addressing these infrastructure and logistical issues.

Hon. Akwaboa emphasized the critical role SUSEC plays in shaping the future of students in the region and pledged his commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to find lasting solutions to the challenges presented.

He further highlighted the government’s focus, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, on providing high-quality Senior High School education across the country. As one of Sunyani’s most respected institutions, SUSEC is well-positioned to benefit from these national education initiatives.

The Regional Minister reaffirmed his dedication to supporting educational development in the Bono Region, recognizing education as a powerful tool for driving growth and development.
