The Bono Regional Planning Coordinating Unit (RPCU) held its first quarter meeting for the year 2025 on Thursday, May 8, at the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) Conference Room.

The session brought together key departmental heads and planning officers to review progress and align development efforts across the region.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. George Osei, who stood in for the late Chief Director of the Bono RCC, Mr. Andrews Mensah.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Osei called on all attendees to observe a minute of silence in memory of the late Chief Director, acknowledging his valuable service and contributions to regional development.

The agenda for the meeting included the consideration of minutes from the previous session, presentations of departmental reports on first quarter activities for 2025, and an orientation on the preparation of the 2026–2029 Medium-Term Development Plans (MTDPs).

Madam Mavis Adu, a Principal Planning Officer at the Bono RCC, led the orientation session. She guided participants through the new guidelines and expectations for the upcoming MTDPs, emphasizing the importance of strategic alignment, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven planning.

The meeting fostered a collaborative environment for evaluating ongoing initiatives and provided a platform for departments to share challenges, achievements, and forward-looking plans. It also reaffirmed the RPCU’s commitment to coordinated development efforts and efficient planning across all sectors in the Bono Region.
