BONO REGIONAL MINISTER RECEIVES GRASAG SUNYANI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY DELEGATION

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, on 1st September 2026, received a delegation from the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) at Sunyani Technical University, led by the Association’s President, Martha Ameyaa-Osei, during a courtesy call at his office.

The delegation, comprising graduate students and executives of the association, used the occasion to congratulate Hon. Akwaboa on his appointment as Bono Regional Minister and formally introduce themselves to him.

The visit also served as an opportunity for GRASAG to reaffirm its solidarity, continued support and commitment to strengthening the relationship between the association and the Regional Minister’s office.

During the engagement, the graduate students raised concerns relating to issues affecting graduate students and their interactions with the RCC. In response, the Regional Minister welcomed their willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and collaborative discussions aimed at addressing the concerns and finding mutually acceptable and sustainable solutions.

Hon. Akwaboa assured the delegation of his commitment to supporting the interests and aspirations of graduate students and encouraged GRASAG to maintain open, constructive and meaningful engagement with the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).

He further expressed his commitment to working closely with GRASAG and other stakeholders to foster an enabling environment where graduate students can thrive, contribute meaningfully to regional development and realise their full potential.

The engagement underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between the RCC and graduate student representatives in addressing their concerns and promoting opportunities that contribute to the development of the Bono Region.
