BONO REGIONAL MINISTER RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM SUNYANI CENTRAL PRISONS COMMANDER

On May 8, 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, welcomed the Commander of Sunyani Central Prisons, Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP) Thompson Otsyokpo, and his team during a courtesy visit to his office.

DDP Otsyokpo congratulated the Minister on his recent appointment and conveyed his commitment to collaborating with the Regional Coordinating Council in advancing public service and national development.

He also expressed heartfelt appreciation for a recent donation of essential food supplies made to the Sunyani Central Prisons, a gesture facilitated by Hon. Akwaboa on behalf of philanthropist Mr. Ibrahim Mahama.

The Regional Minister acknowledged the goodwill of the Prisons Service and affirmed his support for initiatives that promote correction, rehabilitation, and reintegration.

Hon. Akwaboa expressed optimism about future collaboration aimed at enhancing development and social reintegration efforts within the region’s correctional system.
