BONO REGIONAL MINISTER MEETS 2026 ‘MEKO BONO’ FESTIVAL PLANNING COMMITTEE

On 20 July 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, hosted members of the ‘Meko Bono’ Festival Planning Committee, led by its Chairman, Nana Atta Gyan Katakyie, during a courtesy visit to the Bono Regional Coordinating Council.

The committee sought the Minister’s support, guidance, and contribution towards the successful organisation of the 2026 ‘Meko Bono’ Festival, which is scheduled to take place from 16 to 22 August 2026 in Atebubu in the Bono East Region.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strategies for ensuring a successful festival while promoting the rich cultural heritage of Bono, fostering unity, and supporting the region’s development.

The Regional Minister reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the initiative and pledged to attend the festival. He also expressed his readiness to contribute to the successful organisation of the event and to efforts aimed at preserving and promoting Bono culture.
