BONO REGIONAL MINISTER, GACL HOLD TALKS ON AIRPORT SAFETY AND SECURITY

On 20 July 2026, the Management of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), led by Director Mr. Abrefa Sarkodie, paid a courtesy call on the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, at the Bono Regional Coordinating Council.

The meeting focused on discussions surrounding aviation safety and security, particularly in relation to the construction of the new airport in the Bono Region. The engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to deliberate on measures required to ensure that the project complies with the highest applicable aviation safety and security standards.

During the meeting, the Regional Minister reaffirmed the Regional Coordinating Council’s commitment to supporting the Ghana Airports Company Limited in its efforts to implement the necessary safety and security measures.

He assured the management of the Council’s cooperation as the company undertakes its mandate to promote aviation security and facilitate the successful execution of the airport project.
