BONO CENTRE FOR NATIONAL CULTURE ORGANIZES TRAINING FOR CHIEFTAINCY INSTITUTIONS

Cultural training for the Chiefs and elders of various Traditional Councils at their Palaces across the region were held by the Bono CNC.

The program aimed at updating traditional leaders on leadership, chieftaincy etiquettes and protocols expected of the custodians of culture to be observed at the palace. Other similar activity was the grooming of nominated Chiefs and Queens in preparation of their enstoolment ceremonies.

Some of these included the Institutions included Odumase No.1, Gyasehemaa, Nana Yaa Boakye Yiadom, of Kutre No.2 of Berekum, Techiman Royal Family, Nana Twum Barima, Adonteng Palace of Nsuatre, Sunyani Traditioanl Council among others.

The Centre also collaborated with Community Heads/Leaders in performing various rites such as funerals, chieftaincy enstoolments, festivals among others. Included was the funeral celebration of the late mother of the chief of Yaakrom, Nana Baffour Amo Adinkra Kosopre, the organization of the week-long “doteyie” of Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri II, the Omanhene of Sunyani Traditional Council.

There was also support to the celebration of the Munumkusie Festival of the people of Jinijini (yam festival) and the Apoo festival of the people of Dibebi in the Tain District.

The Regional Director also participated in the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Omanhene of the Dormaa Traditional Authority, Oseadeɛyↄ Dr. Nana Agyeman Basu II also the president of the Regional House of Chiefs.
