BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS THIS FESTIVE SEASON – BONO REGIONAL MINISTER CAUTIONS PUBLIC
The Bono Regional Minister, Mad. Justina Owusu-Banahene has admonished Ghanaians to take their personal security serious even as we celebrate Christmas and prepare to enter into the New Year of 2023.
In a statement to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, Mad. Owusu-Banahene noted that criminals often took advantage of the excitement that typified the Christmas celebrations and the night of December 31 to engage in unlawful activities.
She therefore advised people to be extra cautious when leaving their homes for various activities that would be organized to celebrate Christmas and the New year.
Mad. Owusu-Banahene urged neighborhoods to collaborate on crime prevention as much as possible to ensure their homes are properly secured as they leave for Christmas and 31st Night activities.
“We advise churches, nightclub owners, pubs, event organizers and all others who run places where patrons park their cars, to be particular with providing maximum security for these cars”, she added.
She advised the public to take advantage of the heavy police presence to quickly report suspicious persons and situations to help protect lives and properties.
