REGIONAL MINISTER INSPECTS KEY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN DORMAA EAST DISTRICT AS PART OF ACCOUNTABILITY TOUR
On 23rd April 2026, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, undertook a series of inspections across the Dormaa East District as part of efforts to assess the progress of government initiatives within the first year of President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.
The exercise formed part of a two-day District Accountability Tour.
The Minister was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Rachel Owusuaa, as well as the District Chief Executive, Hon. Osei Owusu King. Together, they conducted comprehensive inspections of several ongoing development projects.

Key projects visited included the 33-kilometre Wamanafo–Gambia No. 2 road, a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Abroso, and a three-unit classroom block at Nsesresu.
The team also assessed additional projects such as a CHPS compound at Praprabebida, office accommodation for the Dormaa East District Assembly at Wamfie, a three-unit classroom block with ancillary office and store at Dormaa Akwamu, and the ongoing renovation of the Dormaa Akwamu Health Centre.
During the tour, the Minister emphasized the importance of sustained support and collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives, noting that they are critical to improving the living conditions of residents across the District.
