HON. JOSEPH AKWABOA JOINS DVLA IN COMMISSIONING NEW OFFICE AT DORMAA

On 24th September 2025, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, joined the Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, his deputy, Lawyer Foster Akwasi Asante, the Board Chairman, and other dignitaries to commission the newly established DVLA office in the Dormaa Municipality.

The new facility is expected to significantly improve access to DVLA services, eliminating the need for residents to travel long distances to acquire licenses and other essential services.

This development forms part of President John Dramani Mahama’s reset agenda, which prioritizes the decentralization of public institutions to ease administrative pressure and create job opportunities.

The Minister commended the Minister of Transport, the DVLA Board, Management, and the Chief Executive Officer for their leadership, noting that the initiative would strengthen the Bono Region’s role in Ghana’s growth and development while improving the lives of local communities.
